3/14/2012 - Wow!!! I was more impressed than my partner, but we both loved it! For me it is everything I look for in a golf course...gorgeous, tough but fair, in great shape, the best staff and they informed us that they woukd be qualifying for the Transitions Championship there, in mid-March...that wasn't surprising. If you fancy yourself as a player, it's fun to play where the pros play. We'll visit this course everytime we're anywhere near it. We played 7 courses in 7 days and in my mind it was clearly the best course. About an hour from Tampa, it offers amazing value if you don't mind the drive. I played there 2 years ago and the course was in incredible shape the best manicured golf course I have ever seen. They must be feeling the economic crunch. On par with Dye's two gems at Kohler and a fairer (yet more challenging test than most of the nine Dye layouts I've played). Excellent conditions and staff befitting its private club status.
